Kookaburra Bird Shop, LLC offers professional bird boarding by our experienced avian specialists, for all size birds from finches to macaws and every size bird in between.

Consider the advantages of leaving your bird in the care of our professional staff. When you are unable to care for your bird, you must find someone you can trust with your bird while you are away. Unfortunately, most people are not experienced or trained in the proper care of your bird. Our staff can provide the experienced care that your bird needs while you are gone.

Holiday times are busy and Large and X-Large cages have limited availability.  Please schedule your boarding reservation as soon as possible to assure desired cage size. - Thank you!

Boarding & Training Requirements

please print and take to your veterinarian

1.  Reservations are required for all Boarding. Holidays are especially busy so please make your appointments well in advance

2.  A health certificate valid within 12 months of scheduled boarding date is required.  Please fax two weeks prior to boarding or training appointment.  This allows time for any questions to be addressed.

3. 3.a. Health certificate from an Avian Veterinarian including the following:
   

  Physical Exam

&

CBC

within the normal range

We do not accept results from Research Associates Laboratory (R.A.L. Inc.)

        b.  Cats & Dogs must have a veterinarian fax proof of current vaccinations within the last                             12 months.

4. 4. Kookaburra Bird Shop, LLC provides cage, food, and loving care for your bird.  If your bird is on a special diet, please bring it with you.  We recommend that you bring or purchase your bird’s favorite toy for it own comfort.
   

5. 5.Cat & Dog owners will need to bring your pet’s food, toys, & favorite treats. 
   

6. 6.Dog boarding includes 2 - walks a day.  Walks can be added for a $5 extra charge.
   

These Safety Features and Procedures will assure Piece-Of-Mind:

1. Our facilities have temperature, fire, and burglar alarms.
   

2. Alarms are monitored 24x7 and will alert our staff and authorities.
   

3. We disinfect all areas of the store daily.
   

4. We inspect all birds daily for any signs of problems.
   

5. Birds are fed twice daily with the finest pellet foods available.
   

6. A gourmet diet of fresh vegetables and/or fruit is included.
   

7. The social interaction with other birds is healthy for your bird.
