Kookaburra Bird Shop offers many formats of parrot training to fit just about any budget.  With a combined experience of over 40 years, we have helped with every behavior problem associated with keeping pet parrots.

Wether you choose the hour consultation or an intensive week long format,  you will complete our  Pre-Behavior consultation form so we can design a personalized plan for you and your parrot. 

We have tackled everything from biting, screaming, perching, and everything in between.  Common problems with over bonding to one person in the household can be over come with the correct guidance.

Please fill out the online form below for either an hourly or weekly behavior consultation.  A behaviorist will contact you to schedule your individual time.

Per Hour Behavior Consultation:

•$50.00 / 45 minutes

You meet with a behavior consultant to work through behavior modification with your parrot. Before the consultation, you will fill out the Pre-Behavior Consultation form so that the behaviorist can come up with solutions prior to the actual meeting. If at the end of this consultation you feel you need an Intensive Weekly Behavior Modification, the hourly fee will be credited to the week long fee.  Consultations offered on the phone or in person with or without parrot present.

Intensive Weekly Behavior Modification:

•Small Parrots   -   $199.00 / week

•Medium Parrots   -   $249.00 / week

•Large Parrots   -   $299.00 / week

•NOTE: Pre-payment each week is expected.

Basic behaviors to be taught but are not limited to:

•Stepping up and down on command.

•Perch Training

•Coming in and out of a cage nicely

•Conversion to pellets

•Others as time permits

Week one consists of a detailed interview with a behaviorist to determine length of training and expectations. Details will then be given as to what steps will be taken. The rest of the week will be spent training the bird the desired behaviors.

Weeks two and following consist of working with the parrot and parrot owner in the shop and discussing changes that can be made at home to continue your parrot's training.
